Our Half Day Paradise begins on the northern border of Yellowstone Park. Right where the Gardiner River converges with the mighty Yellowstone River, you will find rolling waves that are fun for the whole family!
Ride the Waves at Man-Eater Hole, Boonie's Revenge and Sleeping Giant (shown in pic)! Take in the breathtaking view of Devils Slide and La Duke Hotsprings. Float through some flatwater stretches great for swimming and relaxing.
This trip is great for first time rafters or family groups with wide age and ablitity ranges.
The total time required for the trip is about 2 1/2 to 3 hours. We shuttle you to and from the river
Boats hold 4-12 people depending on size and group demands.

FULL DAY PARADISE - Yellowstone River

Spend the morning paddling the "Gardiner Stretch" (see half day) and float further downstream through beautiful Paradise Valley. Stop on the riverside and enjoy an all you can eat smorgasboard lunch. (Deli meats, cheeses, veggies, hoagies, cookies, chips sodas...)
Your afternoon will be well spent floating the scenic and rapid Yankee Jim Canyon - the most beautiful section of the Yellowstone River!
This stretch of River offers scenic vistas and the opportunity to view wildlife and there is some flat water in between for relaxing floating and swimming!
Your guide carries a dry-bag for you to store whatever you might need for the day.

We usually take approximately 8-10 people per boat on the Yellowstone. Perhaps you have a group of 4-6 people that want to be in their own raft?
A smaller boat gives a more exciting ride as each paddler is closer to the water and more involved in controlling the boat.
Smaller boats give a bigger ride!

Inflatable KAYAK TRIPS - Yellowstone River

Take a solo journey in a one person inflatable kayak! It gives a lot more excitement of than rafting without requiring very much skill. If you are interested in eventually doing some white water kayaking, the duckie is a great way to try out solo boating! You get huge hits! The duckies are very stable which helps to keep you from flipping over when you hit those big holes and waves. A guide will introduce you to the technique and assist you as you navigate class II rapids.
Participants must have good swimming skills and be confident in the water.

PADDLE AND SADDLE - Yellowstone River

Spend the morning exploring Paradise Valley on horseback with Ryan and Heather Rigler of Slip and Slide Ranch. Their 900 acre ranch offers high sagebrush fields, juniper forest and mountain lakes.
Your 2 1/2 hour ride covers diverse terrain and offers views of the Yellowstone River and surrounding Paradise Valley.
Just when you are ready to say, "what's for lunch? ", the guides take you over to the house where Heather serves up beef burgers made from the ranch.
Digest while you drive 12 miles to Montana Whitewater at Gardiner for a 1:00pm raft trip on the Yellowstone River.
The Riglers are a Legendary Paradise Family with ties that go back to the Frontier days. Ask about Frank Senior and Frank Super Senior. They have backcountry tales that will give you a taste of the real Montana!
